Free Form Library - WKU 2022
This project's intent was to design a library that uses freeform architecture to innovate a community-centered typology that invites today's youth. My design creates a vibrant, dynamic hub of culture, learning, and social interaction. Incorporating fluid shapes and open concepts into its design allows it to seamlessly integrate spaces such as exhibits, collaboration spaces, and maker labs, creating an environment that is stimulating and conducive to discovery. By blending natural materials, such as wood and concrete, the library can enable a connection to the natural world and enhance the overall ambiance of the space. This practice of freeform architecture creates a modern, relevant area that appeals to today's generation. This further encourages them to engage with various cultures, technology, and each other.
